Hello to all. I just purchased a Kitchenaid 6 qt stand mixer and would like some feedback on attachments. I purchased the shredder and shopper, and the food grinder. My husband would like to do sheet pasta, but It's kind of confusing as to which attachments are necessary. I would appreciate some thoughts!! Jerrie

buy what you are going to use and what you are going to need - you may not want the attachments others have and vice versa

I use the dough hook a lot. Other than that I just have the paddle and the wire whip.

I also have the grinder attachments which came with the pasta maker. I am not happy with the dyes for the pasta maker though. I got a pasta dough roller and a few cutters last year and am very pleased with them. The roller attachment makes rolling out pasta dough a breeze. I also use it for rolling out doughs for tarts and even doughs for Mexican dishes. No one has complained yet that my tortillas are not round, lol.

Thanks. The info about the attachments for the pasta was what I was looking for. I think I will probably order the sheet pasta roller. I had heard the attachments for pasta which went on the food grinder weren't very good.
