What's your least favorite food?
For me, it's pepper--the vegetalble, not the spice. I hate it with a passion! Anything that's made with it, I run from. I don't care if it's green, red, yellow, no matter. (I do like chilie pepper, though.)

I run from LIVER!!!! Hate the stuff, it has always since I was a child gagged me I can not eat it what-so-ever, no form of liver, liverwurst, chicken or beef. It just makes me sick Pew-w-w-w:mad: it is Nasty X 100.....!!!!!!

I gotta agree with Cathy. I really hate liver.
Jon likes chicken livers occasionally. I usually soak them for a day in Teriyaki Sauce and garlic before cooking them for him. Takes away some of that awful liver flavor. Bleh!

I hate coffee in any form. I can't even stand tiramisu or chocolate ice cream. Blah! Other than that there are many things that I don't like if prepared a certain way. I don't like slimy eggplant dishes, I like liver but not if it's over cooked. I love pate of almost any kind. I hate kidney beans or any other kind of mushy bean. Canned Great northerns are revoltingly mushy. I don't like anything that is so smooth and pureed that it reminds me of baby food. That will make me gag. I also hate bacon grease that is scraped off the pan and kept in a maxwell coffee tin to be used in all cooking from eggs to pancakes to spam GROSS!

When I was on meds for my ulcer and on a bland diet the thing I missed the most was my coffee. Now I drink that Folgers Simply Smooth for bad stomachs. Its actually really good.

Some other foods I don't like:
Peanuts--I don't like any nuts, but I especially can't stand peanuts! (I do like peanut oil in Asian food.)
Ham--Never really cared for it. I've been told that smoked ham is much better than sweet cured ham, and I would like to try it, though.
Peas--Hated them as a kid, but I like them a bit better as an adult.

It kind of amuses me to read all the foods someone can't stand!:D Like all the things Jfain mentioned I adore, especially coffee, coffee ice cream and tiramisu:) And give me beans any time day or night I love them, it seems eggplant is one of my favorites, and I love it made into Baba-ganouj, a puree'd roasted eggplant dip:p

Jfain you & I love so many of the same things, it's at food that we totally go in opposite directions:rolleyes: Go fiugue! I think that is so funny.

And Doug I would die if I could never eat another peanut! Yet I could survive with-out Ham and peas, although I do like both!

I can't live without the foods you guys mentioned above. I love any kind of bean, ham, and I love coffee, tiramisu, and coffee ice cream is the only kind I can have!

I don't like tomatoes. You can't make me eat a raw tomato. I'd rather have any kind of pasta other than marinara and I'll pick it out of my food. I don't want it touching my burgers, my sandwiches, or my tacos.

Otherwise I'm not a picky eater, but I will not touch food if it is not served right. I won't touch overdone meat, room temp salad, cold potatoes, soggy lettuce, etc.

I don't care for raw tomato, but I do like cooked tomatos. I love pizza!

Also Anchovies, Caviar, and Seaweed make me want to gag as well as Sushi!!!

Gosh my list is growing and here I thought I could eat just about anything:D It seems we all have our preferences!!!

You are right because I love sushi, I eat seaweed in all sorts of things. I like anchovies & caviar in things but I wouldn't eat a big pile of them. It's just too salty. The thing about what I dislike is that I don't hate all beans or all eggplant. I just hate mushy beans or mushy eggplant. It's a texture thing. For instance I love sweet potatoes but I once made a recipe for sweet potato puree that was so smooth I actually threw up. It was the worst thing I ever had in my mouth. I hate that texture of baby food. The weird thing is if you added some flour and fried it into fritters or added stock and made it into soup I would have licked the platter clean.

THAT IS FUNNY......
I WONDER IF YOU HAD A TRAUMATIC CHOKING EXPERIENCE WHEN YOU WERE JUST A BABY THAT LEFT YOU SCARRED FOR LIFE AND HATE ANYTHING ASSOCIATED WITH BABY FOOD:confused: JUST AN UNEDUCATED GUESS:D

I USED TO HATE OKRA (BOILED) AND EGGPLANT (SAUTEED) AND ANYTHING "SLIMY-LIKE" AS A KID, I OVER CAME THOSE AS I GOT OLDER AND GREW THEM IN OUR GARDEN, IT SEEMS THE ACTUALL PROCESS OF GROWING THEM AND THEN PICKING AND PREPARING THEM IN MEALS CHANGED ME. I STARTED OUT EATING OKRA BOILED IN A STEWED TOMATO/CORN/OKRA COMBO. THEN FOR SOME WIERD UNEXPLAINED REASON I FELL IN LOVE WITH EGGPLANT! MY MOM WAS NOT SUCH A GREAT COOK AND SEASONING IN HER FOOD LEFT IT LESS THAN DESIREABLE, I THINK MY OWN COOKING AND SEASONING TECHNIQUES ENABLED ME TO EAT THINGS THAT PREVIOUSLY MADE ME GAG!

You are definitely right there. There are so many foods I hated as a kid that I learned I really like when I make them myself. I'm a strange one in that I actually remember things that happened when I was 2 or 3. Most people don't remember when they were that young. I remember my mother giving me baby food and I hated it. I didn't want to eat that nasty stuff. I wanted to eat the fresh veggies from my grandmother's garden. I also was a butter bandit. If you left the refrigerator unguarded for more than a minute I would have gobbled up every stick of butter in there. :D

I love eggplant fritters, eggplant parm, moussaka, roasted eggplant, etc but any dish that says roast the eggplant and scoop out the pulp..... no thanks.

The thought of a baby gnawing on sticks of butter is hilarious!

I have a "texture" thing too depending on what I'm eating. I can't stand food that is too crispy, especially if it's crispy AND cold like salad with croutons. I like lettuce, I like croutons, but get them in a bite together and I'm not a happy camper.

:D I think this is the funniest thread ever, it crackes me up reading the things we hate to eat:p

You know Jfain, my Dad to this day loves butter like that he will sit at the table and take his butter knife and slice off a piece and just pop it in his mouth. On bread I LOVE lots of butter!!! On rice LOTS of butter, and on a Baked Potato LOTS of BUTTER Yummy yummy butter m-m-m-m!:)

I love to make open faced sandwiches with really good butter then topped with either thinly sliced, radishes, tomatoes or cucumber and a little good salt. mmmm it's just delicious.
