Be careful about those Irish authors. Our best Chinese restaurant in town has a Mexican cook. Never can tell anymore.
 
I guess not having TV in our house, I miss all the drama :)

I used to watch the food network a few years ago and I sort of enjoyed it. I can't remember names of shows, but the only ones I really liked were the ones that showed normal ingredients and normal cooking. If I need to make trips to specialty stores for ingredients, count me out.

I will ditto that statement. I used to watch Rachal Ray a lot since she cooked normal food with usually normal ingredients . . plus she's just cute too. :D
 
Kev - you won't believe my favorite cookbook - which unfortunately is in storage because I was going to move and haven't yet - but that is another story -
it's a Tuscan cookbook - lists all the ingredients and not one measurement, length of cooking time or cooking/baking temperature!

It's great!! It's so Italian -

(what do you mean how long do you cook it? you cook it till it's done.........) LOL
