Pizza Hut makes a sweet sauce (pizza sauce/marinara sauce) and I absolutely love the flavor of it.

Does anyone have any good recipes for a sauce that is more on the sweet side?

Dipping Sauce - Pizza Hut Style

10 ounces tomato sauce
1 tablespoon italian seasoning
2 teaspoons oregano
1 teaspoon garlic powder

1. Simmer the tomato sauce with the seasonings for about 20 min's.
2. You may alter the amounts of the seasonings to suit your tastes.

Pizza Hut Sauce and Toppings

1 can Tomato soup, (10 1/2 ozs)
1 tbl Dry oregano leaves
1/2 tsp Garlic salt

TOPPINGS
8 oz Mozzarella, shred
8 oz Meunster, shred
1/3 cup Parmesan, grate
8 oz Pepperoni, slice thin
1 can Mushrooms, (8 ozs) drain

I'm not positive, but my guess is that their "sweet sauce" is basically their regular sauce w/ a certain amount of sugar added.

I don't know their recipe either, but I have always added about a tablespoon of sugar to my spagetti sauce when making it. I was taught that way by my father, and like you, I prefer a sweet sauce to a sour or acidic sauce. I suppose you could add sugar to your pizza sauce as well, I haven't tried it, but I think I will next time.
