What Foods Do You Perceive As Over-Rated?

>so you can see me and have an idea of what I look like!<

That ain't the Sister Chatty I met last weekend. That Sister Chatty had a whole face. ;)

I love food, but I am a very picky eater. I don't like a lot of melons. I'll only eat watermelon. I think strawberries are the things that surprise people the most of what I don't really care to eat. We used to do a lot of strawberry picking when I was a kid. From that we would have way too much strawberry freezer jam....yuck. I am starting to eat them more because I don't want my son to be a picky eater like me.

Crazy4food....I'm the picky eater in my house...lol..I have tried hard over the years to change that but not much success. I do love Strawberries though.....and any kind of Melon.

Okay, crazy4food... you and I joined this forum in the same month and I'm a wee-bit ahead of you in the number of posts I've contributed. Not trying to say that you're slacking, but if folks wanted to they could call me a "big mouth" and I ain't having that, now! So you better get crackin'- you've got some catchin'-up to do! Hee-Hee!

By the way- I'm allergic to strawberries, so see?- something in common already!

My Mom's from Arkansas and when I was growing-up we went down to the Stuttgart and Pine Bluff regions in the Eastern part of the state often to visit family. My uncles fished a lot and several times my dad went "giggin'" frogs with them. I remember one morning opening the fridge to get some juice and the two pull-out bins in the bottom of the fridge were filled to the top with HUGE jerking bull-frogs they'd caught the night before! I remember them cooking them simply in seasoned flour, pan-fried in bacon grease, then we drizzled them with that Squeeze Parkay Margarine product... They weren't bad if I didn't actually really think about the fact that I was chewin' on a frog's limbs! Ha! (Just pretend you're in gai Paris!)

Sorry Alaskagriz, I tend to forget about coming out here when I am online. And in my real life I am the queit one anyway (which is quite funny since women supposedly talk like what 75% more than men). Needless to say my husband talks more than me.

>my husband talks more than me.<

Yeah, but, how many of those words are "yes, dear"?:D

Kev...even if I was in (gai Paris ) I couldn't eat Frog Legs ! Maybe if I was starving to death and that was the only thing I had to eat !
