What's that brand...

What's that brand that has infomercials for one of their knifes, I forget what it's called, it's supposed to be able to cut anything, and I'm trying to remember what it's called and I can't. It's kind of old though, it might not even exist anymore (but it probably does).

Cutco. They're the ones with the commercials where they'd cut through tin cans as easily as tomatoes.

Isn't this like one of the historical successes of Ronco, which includes Spray On Hair, and my (real absolute favorite) the Ronco Vegomatic. It made the best french fries!

Yeah, I let my coworker's son do a Cutco demonstration for me one time (I didn't want nor need any knives, but he got $100 just for showing up). He cut through a can, a piece of rope, and several other things.

I wanted to laugh, because really, how often are you in the kitchen with a coke can and thinking, "hmmm, if I only had a knife that would cut this in half." LOL.

a friend from college got suckered, er, persuaded to sell Cutco one summer. I don't think she even sold one knife the whole summer. On the bright side, 10+ years later, the knives from her demonstration set are still going strong!

I have some of the Gensu knives. i dont know about cutting though a coke can, but they work well for me. I have had them for about 8 years.

I have Ginsu as well. They stay relatively sharp, but not as sharp as they were as new. The other infomercial you might be thinking of is Miracle Blade.

Yep, it's Cutco i believe. They recruit people to be their salespeople too, i know of a few people who started doing that after high school.

I have Ginsu knives and I use them all the time. I have had to sharpen them a few times, but they have lasted a long time. I hate when I buy knives and after I was them they rust. Has anyone ever had this problem?

The Miracle Blade set advertised by that little pudgy guy is good. I bought a set and got one set free and used it as a gift. In my opinion, that was a good buy. I've never had any trouble out of any of the set and they're just as good as any of those expensive German knives. I love 'em.
