Your 2 favorite restaurants??

For fastfood, I don't think there is much that can beat Chipolte's for quality of food, and healthy eating. So my favorite is Chipolte's.

For a real good meal, I go with my husband to the Elks Club. They have really good food, with sit down service, at about 1/2 off of the restaurants. I have friends that are members of the Moose Club, and the American Legion. The same is true there. So if you like to go out to eat a lot, you should join one of those three clubs, or a similar organization. Plus the profits go to support local charity. There's some other clubs too, like the Grange, Amvets, and Redmen. I think the first three I listed are the larger ones, and would have a larger dining room, with a wide menu. But check locally, as these clubs are all local.

Oh, my--where to start. First of all when not living overseas, we have a home in Houston-----in case you didn't know we were rated the "fattest" city in the US and with good reason-----there are literally thousands of restaurants here-----all cuisines and all prices. In fact our local paper on Fridays publishes a special pull-out section called "Dining Out" and lists by cuisines what they feel are good restaurants and rating them by stars. I guess our favorite fast food would be Mexican and there are too many good ones in Houston to just list one and reasonable!! (We're born and bred Texans and have lived in San Antonio many years so I feel confident in recommending Houston's Mexican restaurants on the whole) and as for haute cuisine that's a bit more difficult. Like Dr. Pepper my whole family adores Vietnamese and there are two in Houston that are great: Mo Mung and Kim Son. Also, we like the Benihana's style of Asian hibachi cooking where they cook the food for you at a table under a big exhaust fan with other people and then serve with special sauces. Yum! The chefs are supposed to do a bunch of tricks with the food as they go along but I'm noticing that over the years they are either getting "tired" or the chefs aren't taking the "elective" course. Ha!

Hmmm...

I think I'd have to go with Arby's or Quiznos for fast food.

As for a good dining restaraunt...that's tough LOL I guess I'll go with the Outback Steakhouse, though I love the Olive Garden too.

Those are some of my top ones for chain restaurants! I like Arbys' Marketfresh

Fast Food would have to be Wendy's or Del taco. If it is a nice resturant. Anything Mexican or Outback. Just thinking of Del Taco makes me want to go there for lunch. Their chicken tacos are good.

I love Qdoba or McAlister's for a fast food without the real feel of fast food. As far as sit down places...hmmm...probably the local Mexican place, El Tapito's

It sure is. I went to Del Taco yesterday after my post. I was really craving hard chicken tacos. I think I might have to go there to day for a chicken burrito.

Gosh. The only Del Taco near me closed down 6 years ago. I used to love that place. They weren't in a good location and didn't get enough businuss except for lunch and just didn't make it.

I've never heard of a Del Taco....is it kinda like a Taco Bell/Mayo/Bueno?

I have never heard of Del Taco either. Could you please tell me what it is like?

Del Taco is very similar to Taco Bell.

It's hard to name two favorites, but these are two I like that are local:

Babe's - located in a small town in an old hardware store. They have two things on the menu: fried chicken, and chicken fried steak. Served family style with creamed corn, mashed potatoes, gravy and biscuits. MMMMmmmmmm!

Snuffers - hamburgers, chicken strips, and other things like salads and quesadillas. Their special thing is the cheese fries - french fries covered with melted cheddar and bacon bits. A heart attack in a bowl, but oh so good!

Fast food would be Long John Silvers and nice restaurant around here would be Olive Garden or Jean Bonnet Tavern. Jeanbonnettavern.com It is a historic place and people have even claimed to have ghost sightings there (though I never have). ;)

We dont have any real "fancy" places around us. Closest city to me is about 2.5 hours away for that.

Who would name a restaurant after a little girl that died? Was this named after her or before her:confused: If it was that is a little morbid.

We like the olive garden quite a bit. For fast food I like Long John silvers and my husband likes taco bell. We don't really go the fancy route because usually those places don't serve very large portions for what you pay and then you have to hit the mcdonalds on the way home because your still hungry.

My two favorite restaurants are Olive Garden and Zaxby's. The only resaon I like Zaxby's is because I am addicted to their sauce. Olive Garde has all the food I love, I don't think there is anythign there that I wouldn't eat.

I guess I didn't realize Olive Garden was so popular. I'm not a huge fan, but then again, maybe I just haven't ordered the right things. (and Italian isn't my favorite)

For fast food, McDonalds.

Red Lobster is my fancy restaruant. lol

Although hubby works at a pretty good restaurant.

Razzoo's
Macaroni Grill

Those are probably my favorite chains, of course there are local places that I like even better but most people might not be familiar with those.

Well, i dont have a particular names but Pho Noodle Shops and Japanese restaurants are my top 2
