I will add my defense of the Toaster Oven. We had one but my wife sold it because there was little room for it. However now I've changed an ajoining room to a mini kitchen for overflow and I want one. In Louisiana the best use of a toaster oven is that it's portable. Hike that sucker to the patio, plug it in and do that brisket that takes hours and no one is heating up the house in August. Baked fish can leave an odor for days, take it to the carport. I do the same thing with my slow cooker. The wife says "at least you're not cooking again" and I reply "of course not but stay off of the back patio".
