I think copper bottom pots look really cool, and i've heard they conduct heat well.

Copper bottom pans really do conduct the heat well. We have some old quality Revereware stainless steel pans with the deep copper bottoms, and they really cook evenly. It's noticable. But none of the non-stick pans that I've seen offer copper bottoms. We have Circulon for our day-to-day cooking and used to have T-fal.

The Circulon looked more durable then the T-Fal, and so we'll see if that's really true. We've had the Circulon about a month, and so far we're happy with the cooking, care and clean up of the pans. They came with some heave pyrex glass lids which are nice, but hard to get really clean like the day they came out of the box without using the dishwasher.

I have some calphalon and like it. However, they are not dishwasher safe and can't be washed with regular liquid dishsoap. Because of this, If I had a choice again, I would buy copper. Actually, I think I start replacing what I have with copper.

Excellent point. I am more "to the point" when it comes to dinner clean up. I wouldn't like the idea of having to wash them all by hand.
