I dont usually stick to recipes so everything in meals is called a dash. Ill add a dash of this and a dash of that. No matter how much i put in I call it a dash lol

lol Paprika, thats how my mom cooks too. If I'm trying a recipe for the first time, I usually stick to the amounts and ingredients listed. If it's good, and just needs a little tweaking, I'll keep the recipe card so I have a reference but I'll change this or that, whatever I think will make it taste better.

dash is a small quantity of anything thrown into or mixed with something else, for example, a dash of salt, a dash of pepper, a dash of cheese, wine dash with water, etc.

Before, I thought dash and pinch are not the same. I used to think that dash is a little more than a pinch. When a recipe says a dash of salt, I sprinkle salt 3 to 4 times. Now I know what dash really means. Thanks.
