Thanks Kevin, as it turned out today I'll be marinating it because it wasn't thawed out in time yesterday. My only experience with venison was as a kid and I wasn't fond of it. Now I'm more willing to experiment on my own because I've come to enjoy so much food I never would touch in the past. Besides it was free and that's the best part :D

I have mine packaged into stew meat, round steaks and ground. I cook all of it the same way as beef. In fact the last I cooked was Tacos from 1 1/2 Lbs of ground. Tasted like any other taco I've had. Today I'm doing steak and gravy with some round steak. Now the backstraps I will indirect cook on the grill or just pan fry.
