I recently discovered that I have a set of basting brushes that were given to me for Christmas that work really well for basting grilled food. They are made of some kind of rubber like thick bristles that don't melt when used for basting grilled food. They also clean up better than the typical nylon bristle brushes. I remember the person saying that they ordered them from QVC.

I think you are referring to silacone basting brushes. Those are on my list of next thing to buy. I hear they are wonderful.

Just a large spatula and set of tongs that were given to me long ago. They just keep on keeping on. I hate to say it in polite company but my basting brush is an 1 1/2" job from Walmart plus a 3" nylon bristle paint brush.
