IC I had the opportunity to be on station when Gen Shalikashvili came for a visit. The food I saw just astounded me. Up until his visit we lived 0n 2 MREs a day and one hot. After his visit it was back to the same :rolleyes:
My Dad tells of his courtin' days in the 50's when T-Bones were called "sweetheart steaks", because a couple would order one and the guy would eat the NY Strip half, while saving the tender, slightly smaller part of the filet mignon for his date.
