I had a neighbor who made lasagna with cottage cheese and for some reason I thought they were just trying to cut costs. But now that I think about it, they cost about the same price. While I see recipes around for lasagna that call for cottage cheese, they somehow don't seem like genuine lasagna to me with the ricotta cheese.

I don't like lasagna with cottage cheese at all - no one in my family does either. Cripe, if I were to make it that way I would be excommunicated from everyone! Ricotta cheese - it's the best. There is so much you can do with it! I made a batch of it last week and it "disappeared" before I could stuff shells with it! But we enjoyed it!

I don't like cottage cheese, but lasagna, I like lasagna. I forgot had to spell it and had to check the title of the topic to make sure I was right.

Ih you use the Google Toolbar, there is a spell check option on toolbar that will check the post before you submit. The only trick is you have to hit stop spell checking before submitting or you end up with a mess of a post that you'll either edit to correct or delete and start over. No big deal once you understand the steps involved.

That sounds really good! We always add spinach to our lasagna, and you can also use tofu with the ricotta cheese (or even in place of it at times) b/c it is creamy and absorbs the flavors of the food around it :).
