Janie, your next move should have been to call the health department.

There is absolutely no excuse to allow moldy produce to remain on the shelves. Maybe a hefty fine or two would set them straight.

It would not do me any good to call the Health Dept. They wouldnt do anything about it in this town. I have picked up greens I dont know how many times at that store and they have black mold on the underside. Judging from what they put out for sale I would really hate to see the back of the store that they dont want anyone to get a look at. Parsley is more black than green there. I would dearly love to see a Walmart or any other grocery store come to town.

I had the one guy there ask me what was wrong with it since I was only feeding it to an animal. Another guy told me when I said something about the greens being wilted that it didnt matter since they were going to be cooked anyway. Like I said I would hate to see the back of that store.

I did get a lovely batch of spinach from the garden this evening and some green onions.
I also picked some fresh thyme and sage.
