Gar balls are just ground gar meat with onion, spices and rice and shaped into a ball and fried. No reproductive parts at all.

Well if we did create some form of "seafood mountain oysters" I wouldn't be the one to prepare them. Being raised in the Gulf coast and in Louisiana I have cleaned a lot of fish and other then when some are carrying eggs I can't tell one gender from the next. They all have a single ventral opening just behind the lower spine and if they have some "parts" it's all internal and I can't tell the boys from the girls. Good thing I'm not a fish. I wouldn't know where to start when I got a little "randy". :eek:
