Stop bein' so damned sensitive! No one enjoys walkin' on egg-shells around people... This ain't about teasing, poking fun or demeaning folks. None of us here are that way. Lord knows I give folks in this world plenty to taunt me about- I'm fat, I'm gay, I'm a mis-fit in a thousand different ways! I've been made fun of by more people in more ways than I can count. And I'd whine about it if it helped- but the truth is- it don't. I developed a thick skin over the years- had to, to survive. So forgive me if I expect the same of others. It's a damn tough world. And I had to accept that 'cause I wasn't about to take the time to break-down everytime something occurred that hurt my feelings. I'm not attacking you- just offering a manner of coping and dealing that has worked best for ME over the years. Life is beautiful- there's MUCH to enjoy. Unless of course we'd prefer to sit and wallow in misery. Ain't a soul in this world that ain't got s@#t to deal with- HEAVY s@#t, too. But how we deal with it- THAT makes the difference. Always has- always will. Now- post a dmaned recipe. That's what this place is for! winks- kevin

You guys are trying to bait me into an argument. Leave it alone. I've seen this before at another forum, and I'm not getting into that here.

Not trying to be mean or nasty, but if you're fat and gay, then that's none of my business. Your life is your life. Live it well and enjoy it to the fullest.

Nobody's trying to bait you into anything, BD. You seem to be missing the entire point.

Since you joined here, your posts have, for all intents and purposes, served only one function: to tout Food Network in general, and one of its so-called stars in particular.

Many members here, with some justification, see that as an insideous form of spam. And as such, it's not welcome here.

What you've been asked to do, over and over, is to drop the references to FN and your favorite star, and start posting on the forums as per their titles.

Despite the friendly banter and fooling around, SpicePlace is, at base, a recipe exchange site. And if not recipes, per se, at least food related conversations.

We've seen none of that from you. And when called out about it you just go all defensive, and accuse others of attacking you, and trying to bait you into an argument.

I've tried staying out of this particular controversy. But frankly it's getting to be rather a bore. So, unless you start joining in on the other forums, and post meaningful messages, I think I'm going to have to step in, and vote in favor of Mama's button.
