Cathy - Actually we've had several in north Louisiana. About 20 yrs ago we had a snow and it didn't get above freezing for 7 days. Cane River (Its damned now so it's Cane River Lake) froze over.

We got about six inches of snow Saturday. The weather man said it would be two inches lol. The county bulldozer woke us up Sat morning at 6:30 cleaning off the parking lot. Our landlord must do someones taxes for free to get that done everytime it snows. I noticed they do this lot and the post office but leave out many other places.
It got up to 38 Sunday so much of the snow melted the next day.

janie- I'd been wondering if you guys got snowed-under... sounds like you did!

We, on the other hand, were told to expect 4-6 more inches- yet it bypassed us entirely! Although our mercury fell to below zero for 2 weeks, we're now up to 25-30 and much less snow so far this time of year than usual for us.
