I have found a lot of really BAD recipes on those 2 sites. I usually go to Epicurious.com. It's much more reliable.
I have Allrecipes marked under my favorties. Tons of people were complaning about zar. I didnt know they had sold out several months ago. Many people said they are trying to make it hard for people who are not members to get to recipes but tons of people who were members stated they were having the same problem.
I find with allrecipes and recipezar and a few others like them, it's hard to weed though the junk to find the gems.
When you come to a site like this, you get to know the posters, and you get a feel for what they like and how they cook. You come to know just who has a 'style' of cooking that you like. When you select one of their recipes to try, you can be reasonably confident that it will turn out the way you want.
But when you go to those over-sized anonymous recipe sites, you don't have that advantage. It's kind of hit or miss in finding the perfect TNT recipe.
That's why I stick to either forums where I can get to know folks' tastes or commercial sites like Food Network or Epicurious (or a couple others).
I have a lot more confidence in the folks I "know" than the folks I don't.
