was admitted to the hospital Wednesday. He is home now and his problem was reflux caused my the cholesterol medicine he is on. He works at BWI Airport where they held a plane with sick passengers prior to his becoming ill. the plane had some folks aboard from Mexico.

My SIL experienced projectile vomiting for hours and was severely dehydrated. Thank God he is okay now. We were WORRIED but not panic striken. There is a great distance between panic and using good common sense to protect yourself and your family. I agree, it is much better to err on the safe side of contagious diseases.

Well I'm back from Mexico, I've been in Playa del Carmen all week and I didn't see a single sick person. No coughing or sneezing from anyone. More than I can say for Ohio. Still the Mexican government does take things seriously. The food service workers in Playa were all wearing face masks and before they would let us leave back to the US we had to undergo a physical. They took our temperature and gave us a close looking over.

The reason why so many people in Mexico have died from this is because not all Mexicans have access to appropriate medical care. By the time they get to the hospital it's pretty much too late. There are signs all over in Spanish and English saying the flu is treatable if you are exhibiting symptoms please go to the hospital!

We have just as many bugs here in the US. My great grandmother died of pneumonia.
