Speaking of which... y'know the only thing missing from "The Wizard of Oz" was a good food scene! What's up with that? Why couldn't they have slipped a good home cooking scene from Aunt Em's kitchen- or some bountiful buffet table with hundreds of yummy delectables alongside the yellow brick road?
(side note: here in our l'il Bloomington, Illinois is one of my all-time fav historic cemeteries... "Evergreen Park" I know, I know- some folks think cemeteries is morbid- but I dig them! Anyway... among our famous graves here like VP Adlai Stevenson and his grandson- IL.Gov./Senator Adlai Stevenson, and their descendent M*A*S*H star McLean Stevenson, Lincoln's Supreme Court Justice David Davis and others- buried here is also a tiny l'il girl named Dorothy Gale- grand-niece of "Wizard of Oz" author Frank Baum... this l'il Dorothy was Baum's inspiration for his book's Dorothy character! There's a neat yellow brick road memorial-marker at her grave-site...)
