Yeah, Cathy, we enjoyed it very much.

But it wasn't that big a deal. I did some of the prep work Wednesday evening, and the whole thing didn't take me two hours on Thanksgiving day. The cranberry conserve is something I can every year, so the only work there was opening the jar.

DEAR KYH,
IT SOUNDS NOT ONLY ENJOYABLE, BUT SO EFFICIENT AS WELL! I AM WONDERING HAVE YOU POSTED THE CRANBERRY COMPOTE RECIPE? I'D LOVE TO HAVE IT, I AM SURE MANY OTHERS WOULD BE INTERESTED AS WELL.
I USED TO DO QUITE A BIT OF CANNING IN MY YOUNGER YEARS BUT I DO NOT HAVE THE TIME NOW, WORKING FULL TIME CUTS INTO THAT! BUT I DO MISS MY MANY JARS OF GOODIES IN THE CUPBOARD!!!:p I AM SIMPLY THANKFUL NOW FOR THE MEMORIES AND THE EXPERIENCE OF CANNING. I WAS READING YESTERDAY THE THREADS ON TOMATOES AND THERE WERE POSTS IN THERE ON CANNED TOMATOES AND I JUST NEVER WILL FORGET THOSE YEARS OF EATING MY OWN HOME CANNED PRODUCTS, SIMPLY NOTHING TOUCHES IT! I HOPE THAT THERE WILL BE A NEW GENERATION OF COOKS THAT WILL CARRY ON THE TRADITION OF CANNING!
HAVE A GREAT DAY, CATHY:)
