I like how durable they are. They are basically indestructible. Even if you mess one up, you can just scrub the heck out of it and start over again. Most cost about $10-15 and can be used for generations....seems like a good investment to me.
Yep, none of that burning up the pot or scratching off the nonstick surface. Or melting the plastic handle. Or........
I have one too. I love to cook with it as it is more resistant to sticking and burning as other pans.
I have this cast iron Dutch oven with a glass top that is great for making stews and baking pot roasts. You're right BagCSC, and TexasRose, you can burn the heck out of a meal in one, and still clean it up like new.
