I have tried that before too. I like putting a little butter on the buns before placing on the tuna mixture. That makes the buns a little softer on the inside. mmmm.

Yup...just like I do too. Sometimes I like to sprinkle some sweet basil on top of the butter before adding the tuna. That is always a nice flavor.

I used to go often to a local bagel shop that had tuna melts served on a toasted bagel. Now that was good. These weren't honest to goodness NY bagels, but they were pretty close.
