I am so excited; I'm getting a new stove today! A couple from our church knows someone who just bought a brand new house that came with an electric stove. They only like gas, and the builder wouldn't give them credit for the stove, so they are selling it for $100. Never been used! I'm so excited because I can only use 2 of the burners on mine; I accidentally melted something on two of them. The should be bringing it over any minute!

Ooops - I know I typed this once already and I don't know where it went - but it is worth typing over:

CONGRATULATIONS!

May you have many wonderful meals prepared using your new stove!
(and try not to melt anything on it! - LOL)

Wow! That's like Karma or something. You're very lucky to have come across such a deal.

BTW: I prefer gas because that's what I grew up with. I lived in a rented home from about a year that had an electric range. I adjusted, but the one thing that I still had trouble with was the speed of changing temperature of the heat. With gas the change is instant, and with electric you need to anticipate the change more.

Hope you enjoy your new stove and no matter what color it is, may it will cook well.

Congratulations on having such luck!

My father-in-law built a house and had similar issues with other items in the house. But he settled in the end for what the builder offered and didn't buy the extras that weren't what he wanted.

What's the first thing you're going to bake in the oven? A nice standing rib roast would be a nice christening. It's a nice slow cooking recipe to test it out and will reward you with wonderful taste.

Wow that is a great deal. Appliances can be very costly and to get it at such a great price brand new. Well congrats. You will have to tell how well it works.
