While it hasn't quite started getting cool here yet I still love to make Chilis, stews and soups. Yesterday I made a big batch of Chili Mac, nice and spicy! I can't wait for the cooler weather.

I seem to do a lot more Italian cooking in the fall. All of a sudden bolognese, lasagna, risotto, polenta & oso buco just seem right. It's funny I've noticed over the years I tend to go through different ethnic foods with the seasons. Fall and winter are for Italian and French. Lots of carbs, roasts and long braises. After the new year I usually go on a serious Thai and Chinese kick. Lots of stir fried veggies and fish. Then I go into spring which first comes as Indian then Mexican after that I do a lot of Greek and other Mediterranean foods.

I have never made risotto. I was watching 'Dancing with the Stars" and a dancer on the show was a cook & he made his dance partner some risotto, it looked so good! He made it look so easy, but I was thinking it was a hard dish to make.

It sounds like your a seasonal cook, that's good! Cookie :)
