Hi Lizgirl,

I am sorry you are finding wheat in your diet to be hard on your system. My physician recommends keeping a food journal, to track what you eat and any effects to what you ate from each meal. It will help narrow down the culprit. Of-course there are tests the Dr. can perform as well, but if you're smart enough to figure it out on your own then more power to you! Maybe you'll have to try different wheats and see if it is just certain kinds that aren't good for you.

Best of luck. The pizzas you mentioned sound terrific!

Be well, CCCathy

Hi Lizgirl,
We were discussing ovens and bread baking at another post and KYH mentioned a bread that is made with semolina flour.
Now since you may be having allergies to wheat I am wondering if you are going to experiment with different types of wheat to see if you can perhaps eat some and not others. I just wanted to mention this to you, just in case it helps you.

Thanks CCCathey I just found out this weekend there are a variety of different kinds of wheat. I will have to test for that.

To Cookee: Taco pizza is regualr pizza dough baked with a small amount of sauce and cheese on it. Then there is added toppings. Seasoned taco flavor hamburg, diced tomatoes, cheddar cheese and thinly sliced lettuce. When I order a slice they do put it in the oven to heat it. The lettuce doesn't wilt down. Make sure you pile on the toppings. Best on a pizza crust that bakes firm and crunchy on the bottom.

There was another interesting pizza I tried. It was called BBQ chicken pizza but it was more of a hot wing sauce. Not a sweet sauce. I am not a big fan of the hotwing sauce but what I did appreciate on this pizza is that they topped it with blue cheese! OH, yum!
Now if anyone can suggest a way to make a tasty pizza with blue cheese on it, I would be interested. Just can't figure out what would go well with blue cheese?
