A dishwasher! (besides myself!)

And a whole new set of nice cookware!

I wish I had:

a food processor (chopping veggies by hand gets a little tiring and I can't be on my feet more than 15 min at a time now that I'm so far along)

a blender (the best thing to use to make milkshakes, again thanks to being pregnant I want one all the time)

an air popper (for making caramel corn, mmmm)

a bread machine (because I want some home-made bread & don't want to spend all day in the kitchen)

a cookie press (my mom had one & I loved using it to make cookies)

my mini food processor is my best friend. I think everyone should own one to chop veggies, herbs, shred chicken, etc. It's SUCH a timesaver!

I bet it is Medako; I'm hoping that my in-laws will get me some kind of kitchen gadget for Christmas. I'd say my parents, but they don't do Christmas presents for anyone over 18 anymore.

Oh - to dream!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would love one of those huge butcher block tables! And of course (if I may be a bit selfish) a popcorn machine like you find at the theater or a store!!!

And of course - the dream we probably all have - A huge kitchen with a huge pantry and lots of cupboards and countertops!

Phoenyxstarr - I'm with you. Kinda hopin' for some sort of kitchen gadget for Christmas this year. I think we might be the minority though. Apparently the majority of women don't really want kitchen or home stuff for gifts. *shrug* I'd love a new vacuum - and my son bought me some new knives for his first Christmas (he's so considerate!). :)

My family has gotten to where we don't buy for the kids once they're 18 in the extended family (counsins and whatnot), but my parents always do for us kids. Of course, there are only 3 of us and one grandchild, so I could see where a family might look for ways to cut back when the grandkids start adding up!

My husband gave me my Christmas present early - some cookware from Le Creuset! So I can mark that off my list.

I got a stockpot, a casserole dish, two ramekins, two pot holders, and one small pot with a lid. Yay!

Those sound great Mrs. Chipotle.

medako, my parents have 4 kids, & 4 grandkids. My 3 girls & then my brother's only child... actually last I heard, my brother & his wife were still waiting for the Big Day to occur. They were originally due on Christmas & I haven't heard from them in a while so they may be at the hospital. Here's hoping they have a healthy baby too.

This year my parents spoiled my sister & youngest brother. They got my sister an mp3 player & got my youngest brother a bunch of PlayStation 2 games. They got my oldest daughter clothes, Bratz dolls, and Care Bears. For my 18-month-old, they bought the new TJ Bearytales and a couple small things. They got some pj's for the baby, when they picked the pj's we didn't know if I was going to have a girl or boy, so they got some neutral colors, and a pair of leopard print baby slippers. They are cute, but too big.

My parents got me a Magic Bullet. They are so great. It is a blender, chopper and alot more. I was hoping I would get one since I have been drooling over them for some time.

I am with Mama though I would love to have a popcorn machine like in the theater. The popcorn is so good. I wish mine would taste like that.

Food processor for my hubby. lol

Nice big set of cookware and bakeware.

We have a portable dishwasher, but it diesnt work well. So a nice new one!

I would love a side by side fridge with the ice maker and water dispenser.

Phoenyxstarr, I hope you got what you hoped for. My husband and I received a mini prep food processor for christmas but we already bought a kitchenaid mini food processor last year so now we have two plus a large one as well. I just don't have the room so I guess I will sell the kitchenaid one. I also got new hard anodized cookware for christmas. Now all I need is a great set of knives and a sharpener.

I'm lusting after a big Kitchenaid Stand Mixer. I may have to just go and buy one for myself this year!

I bought me one of the KA Pro 600s just about a year ago.

Well worth the scrimping and saving!

But, if you don't require the bowl-lift type, the Artisan will do just fine.

That's the one I have my eye on, KY. I noticed Amazon has a black one and a white one on sale for $269 shipped today - not refurbs. I'm thinking seriously about this.

Watch Bed Bath & Beyond. They often put the KA stuff on sale, and do it when there's a KA discount.

I caught one of those dealies, and, along with a BB&B 20% coupon, wound up paying $269 complete for the Pro 600.

Above all, don't buy the Classic. It's a cheaply made unit, designed for the box stores, with plastic gears and no strength.

OK, I did it! I got the KA Pro 600 at Amazon for $269 with free 2 day shipping. I can't wait! One of the things I'm really looking forward to is making whipped potatoes without flinging potato around the kitchen and my shirt! (I know, I know, I should wear an apron.) KY, if you have any special hints or tips about using these to their best advantage, I'll be eternally grateful!
