Can anyone recommend a good quality gas grill? What brands do you guys like, have had luck with? Price is an issue, as usual, so nothing too expensive please. Thanks.

buy a charcoal grill, they make your food taste a lot better than gas.

I say just find one where the sell the burners that go with it. That way you know where to get a replacement. Also I look for one with a sideburner so I can also have something else going on plus I need a burner close to the grill when I'm doing "blackened salmon". I even bake potatoes on mine. Keeps from heating up the house. I just light one side, put it on medium and put the potatoes on the warming rack on the other side. Will usually settle down around 400 degrees.

I grill whenever I can and even clear snow from around the grill durring the winter just to have a good burger or steak. I have a combo grill that has one side for coals and the other for gas.
Gas grills have their purpose for convenience. I would say that as far as grills go, go with a good brand like a Webber. Look at the size of the cooking grate and make sure you have enough space to cook enough burgers for your family. If you want to cook with a spit, make sure it has that option, location for mounting the parts and so on.
Side burners are important too. If you want to make a BBQ sauce or to just heat up a can of beans. Knobs and ignition are also important,. You don't want to invest a couple 100 dollars on a grill, bring it home, put it together and find that the cheap ignition won't ignite a burner or the knobs fall off.
There are a lot of grills on the market, from a 100 or so dollars to thousands. Decide on your budget, talk to your friends, attend a few BBQ's, see what they use, find out how they like theirs and then consider your needs.

Good luck, IC

Love to grill one of my favorite things to do. Charcoal grills give the best flavor. Takes longer but in my opinion is worth the wait.
