Low Sodium Chicken

Anyone know where I can buy low sodium chicken?

The chicken at costco is about 400mg sodium for one chicken breast for the worst sodium product and 150mg sodium for the best.

I found trader joe's chicken breast to be about 100mg per breast (8oz size)

I need to injest less than 1500mg per day and am trying to cut it out as much as possible

I need to eat alot of chicken because I'm trying to bulk and cut like a amateur bodybuilder

Welcome to Spice Place plastiQ. I have found most of the big chains soak their chicken in brine to increase shelf life and add weight. Walmart here in north Louisiana will have chickens running 320 mg. Thats for only 4 oz. However at the local Brookshires their whole chickens run 90 mg with skin on. They have some that are listed as 75 mg. Remember ground beef runs only about 75 mg per 4 oz which may have more fat then chicken but no more sodium. I'm like you in that I'm trying to stay under 1000 mg a day because of a bad heart. If you have found chicken running 100 mg per 8 oz buy it. don't forget fish. I can find salmon at 55 mg per 4 oz and flounder for 30 mg. Problem with the flounder is it has more of a fishy taste and litterly falls apart when you try to cook it.
