Tonight we will be having grilled NY strips, twice baked potatoes, and pan seared green beans (thanks the Cook Chatty Cathy)

as usual pics will follow :)

Oh Rick did I mention we would be up in your area Trick-Or-Treating just about supper time, and I really love steak!! LOL

Hope ya' all like the greenbeans! Let me know.

Ok folks this is easily one of my best meals

I started by baking the potatoes at 350 for 1 1/2 hrs. Pulled them out of the oven and scooped out the insides

Meanwhile I had fried up some bacon. Yeah bacon

Once the potatoes were allscooped out, I whipped the potatoes with sour cream, chives, cheddar cheese, milk and butter

I then filled the potato shells with the whipped potatoes and

Then topped them with bacon ( yeah bacon )
And of course a sprinkling of my bbq rub
The potatoes went back in the oven for a bit while the steaks cooked. I also did 2 of them on the grill and I'v e got to say the skins took on a great flavor from the wood fire.

Here we have Cathy's green beans sauteed in butter and bacon grease (yeah bacon)

Here are the NY strips which were about 1 1/4 inch thick

Got a nice fire going on the grill. Some lump charcoal and hickory for tonight.

I've got to say, I impressed myself tonight. My new steak rub was superb on the NY strips

I'm having soup and salad. Life is not fair. Don'tcha just hate Rick sometimes? He even went and put pictures of it up to torture us.

JP, let's just ask Rick to try and make a salt-free rub just especially for people who have to cut back!!!
Oh Ricky.....calling Rick...what about a nice low-sodium rub, is it possible? Then like JP could cook himself a nice little mignon and eat it guilt-free and not have to worry! And oh would it go good with a nice salad. You would not have to make much, just a few batches;) Would it work?

Oh, I've been known to have a steak (small one) but with no rub at all. Its not too bad either.
