JKander, I usually play by ear as well, but lately have been trying to plan out some meals, so that I don't go to the grocery store everyday, which is what my husband and I have done in the past. So far this week I have planned:

Tuesday - chicken breast, stuffing, corn
Wedensday - Pot roast, salad and potatoes
Thursday - Three cheese tortellini w/ alfredo sauce
Friday - ?

I'd like an invite to your homes for dinner -- very tasty-sounding eats you have lined up, folks. :)

I don't really plan day-to-day. I follow a pattern though. We always have beef, chicken, fish, some sort of pasta, each week and leftovers thereof. I serve food from my "stash" in the freezer and cook some fresh. I always have a large container of lettuce in the fridge that has been washed and spinned so that anyone can read in, grab some and prepare a salad with some added protein. I make and freeze pizza crusts also, and have sauce made in big batches so pizzas is relatively easy to fix instead of ordering out, too.

I'm really impressed with everyone's menu planning. :)

I'm not organized enough to have weekly menus. LOL We just buy food & I cook whatever I'm in the mood for that day.

I haven't been very good at cooking these big meals every week. We are in the middle of moving hopefully by the 12th of November and I would like to have 1 maybe 2 homecooked meals per week. We always have a box pizza night but we need to start eating more healthy.

Any suggestions on how to stick to these scheduled meals. I would love to do this but it never happens after one week.
