When I was young my mom would make tuna sandwiches with mayo, maybe some diced celery, which I perceive to be the norm for the most part. Once a few months ago, I was in a pinch, and I saturated my tuna from the can with Italian salad dressing. It was really good, so I was wondering if anyone else has any other substitutes for their own twist on tuna sandwiches....

Tuna with mayo, sweet pickle relish, chopped olives, celery powder/salt is my favorite.

Ditto

I have tried a little very fine diced apple when I was out of sweet pickle relish and it is good too!

I've also enjoyed tuna salad w/ a little grated Granny Smith Apple in it, and fine-chopped raw carrot. Oh, and chopped hard-boiled egg...
