This is the last thing I did with the overload of oranges I had - before I turned the remainder into marmalade!

Ingredients:

1/2 C butter or margarine - melted
1 1/2 C sugar
1/4 Tsp. salt
1 egg
1/2 C orange juice
3 C sifted all-purpose flour
1/2 Tsp. baking soda
Dash nutmeg
coloured sugars

Directions:

Cream together butter or margarine, sugar, salt and egg. Add orange juice, flour, baking soda and nutmeg. Then chill for an hour or so. Roll out to 1/4 inch thickness on lightly floured surface. Cut cookies with a 2 1/2 inch cutter. Sprinkle with coloured sugar before baking. Bake at 350 degrees F for about 10 minutes. These are just delicious! Not overly sweet and nicely crispy.:)

Thanks for sharing this recipe. I always prefer orange over chocolate. Orange is my flavor.
