Ingredients:

5 C sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger
1 C molasses
2 tsp. baking soda
3/4 C butter
1 C sugar plus sugar to sprinkle
2 eggs, well beaten
1/2 C sour cream

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees

Mix and sift flour, salt, spices and soda. Add sugar to butter and cream until fluffy. Add well beaten eggs and molasses and mix. Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with sour cream, mixing just enough to combine ingredients. Chill. Roll out 1/4-inch thick. Sprinkle top of cookies with sugar. Cut and bake on ungreased cookie sheet for about 10 minutes.

These are the very best eaten warm, straight out of the oven!! :D:D

Hi, CF - It was sort of hard to find your post but once I did I just hope you enjoy these cookies. My sons do, as well as my husband and I - they're really tasty. Think I'll go right now and make a batch! katie :D
