2 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter or margarine, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons light brown sugar, firmly packed
2 eggs
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1/3 cup peach schnapps
12 ounces (2 cups) semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup quick-cooking rolled oats

Combine flour, baking soda, and salt, and set aside.

Cream the butter and sugars. Add eggs, vanilla and almond extracts, and schnapps, and beat well. Gradually add dry ingredients, blending well. Stir in chocolate chips and oats.

Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto lightly greased baking sheets. Bake at 350degrees F. for about 10 to 12 minutes, or until very lightly browned. Remove from baking sheets to cool.

Yield: about 2 1/2 dozen
