SLOW COOKER MEATLOAF
Makes 8 servings

1 pound ground beef
1 pound ground pork
1 cup finely crumbled saltine crackers (about 28)
2 eggs, beaten
1 (0.87-ounce) packet brown gravy mix
1 (1.2-ounce) packet onion soup mix
1-1/2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup ketchup, for the top (optional)

Mix the ground beef, ground pork, cracker crumbs, eggs, brown gravy mix, onion soup mix and Worcestershire sauce together in a large bowl.

For slow cooker: Shape into a loaf, place in cooker and cook on low for 10 hours or high for 3-1/2 to 5 hours. Make sure meat thermometer registers 160 degrees.

For oven baking: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Put into a 9-by-5-inch loaf pan, and pat it down tightly. Put in the oven and bake until meat thermometer registers 160 degrees, in center of loaf, which can be 1 hour and 30 minutes. Before serving, pour ketchup over meatloaf, if using.
