ngredients:
1/2
pound bulk Italian sausage

cups water

1
cup uncooked long grain rice

1
large onion, finely chopped

1
large green bell pepper, finely chopped

1/2
cup finely chopped celery

1-1/2
teaspoons salt

1/2
teaspoon ground red pepper

1/2
cup chopped fresh parsley



Preparation:
1.
Brown sausage in skillet 6 to 8 minutes over medium-high heat, stirring to break up meat. Drain fat. Place sausage into slow cooker.

2.
Stir in all remaining ingredients except parsley. Cover; cook on LOW 2 hours. Stir in parsley.

Nice idea. I never made dirty rice in a slow cooker. Never thought of it.

when it comes to rice, i always say "the dirtier the better"
