Tomatillo Sauce
A Mexican sauce made from tomatillos.

salt ; to taste
1 small onions
2 cloves garlic
1 bunch coriander ; finely chopped
20 tomatillos
5 serrano chile peppers ; green



Soften tomatillos and chilies in a little water but do not overcook. Peel and blend with the onion and salt. Sprinkle with chopped coriander.

Good recipe Mama. I grow tomatilloes every year so I make a lot of salsa. I do mine with all the same ingredients but I actually roast every thing but the cilantro in the oven and then puree. Tomatillo salsa is good stuff.
