Ingredients:

3/4 C shortening
1 C sugar
1 egg
1/4 C molasses
2 C flour
1 Tbls ginger
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix all ingredients together and then form into small balls. Roll balls in sugar and bake on ungreased pan for 12 to 15 minutes - until tops crack.

These are fabulous with a large glass of cold milk - just like you used to get them at Grandma's house when you were a kid!:):)
