Easy Cube Steaks

1 pound cube steaks, cut into serving-size pieces
1 tablespoon olive or canola oil
1 can low-fat or regular condensed cream of mushroom soup

Brown cube steaks in oil. Pour undiluted soup over browned steak. Cover and simmer on low for 30 minutes. Turn, and continue simmer for 30 minutes or until tender.
The dish can also be baked, covered, in a 350-degree oven for 1 hour, or prepared in a slow cooker for 6-8 hours.

I like this recipe Mama. I do always dredge my cube steak before browning though. Habbit and taste I guess.

Ah - to dredge or not to dredge - that is the question!

I usually dredge mine as well. Sometimes seasoned flour.
