I make Sunday supper and take it to my FIL's.
Today we had a porkloin I had sliced and marinated in some teriyaki roasted garlic sauce, olive oil, fresh minced rosemary, fresh thyme, salt, pepper and fresh minced garlic. I made loin chops that were about 1/2 and inch thick and fried them up in some olive oil.
To go with I served spring mix salad with cherry tomatoes and garlic croutons, mac and cheese, diced butternut squash roasted with brown sugar, butter, cinnamon and nutmeg, Ina Garten's garlic bread & roasted garlic sauce with sauteed mushrooms served over the pork. My FIL had prepared green beans and potatoes, corn, peas and a large bowl of cucumbers, banana peppers, bell peppers and tomato cut up and served along side.
I cannot eat pork but I ate tons of veggies lol.
I made homemade chocolate chip cookie cheesecake for dessert.

I started the Sunday supper thing this past summer when he was so busy to get a full meal into him. I never intended to make it an every Sunday thing but some how I got trapped into it lol. Before he finishes his meal he is chatting about next weeks dinner. That is one time my good intentions came back around and bit me.

Your dinner sounds really Good! My husband make a really Good pork-lion roast. I make a pork stir-fry w/ white rice & oriental veggies in the fall-winter months, it's really good. Cookie :)

Cookie, I love to use left-over pork loin cubed up & put into stir-fry! When you make your stir-fry do you ever use sesame oil at the end to flavor it? I do and it makes the rice taste so Authentic & Chinese! I love it, and it is so easy to make isn't it?:)

I haven't used sesame oil in a long time...

I have been using a Seasoning Mix called SUN-BIRD and I mix it with 2 TBS. olive oil & 2 TBS. soy sauce. 1/2 cup water. I have used this seasoning pack since I started to cook. I Love Stir-Frying so easy!!! I'll pick up some sesame oil, good idea thanks, Cookie :)

This Sunday I am planning salisbury steak with mushrooms, corn pudding, biscuits & chinese buffet green beans. I found a recipe that uses tons of the same flavors of the green beans Jon ate made by our Thai friend. I was thinking of making a batch of clam chowder and galic herb croutons to have with it. It has been a raining here for the past week.

What a Sunday Menu Janie!!! You sure have made Jon's Dad a happy man with all those great meals you make!!!:)

I love cooking a big Sunday Dinner, sometimes I spend all day in the kitchen. I LOVE IT!!!! I never plan too far ahead, so I have no idea yet what my menu will be this Sunday! Although I am lening towards a big ole' pan of Chicken Crepe's. They are so fabulous, and tasty as can be!!!! M-m-m-m If not that then I want to go with a Lamb Meatball Tagine, Baba Ganough, Hummus, and Pita Bread! A real Middle-Eastern Smorgasboard.

It would be easier if Jon's Dad didnt want to eat at noon.
I asked him last week if he was getting tired of it but he assured me no.
I would make things I could just pop into the oven BUT I cant have the oven on and then leave in case the heat makes the AC freeze up.
I am making his Dad a meatloaf tonight since we are going down there tomorrow I thought Id leave it in his fridge.
