This forum is an archive and this feature is no longer available
If you have a website and use Google AdsenseĀ®, you can earn money by having your adsense codes rotate on the ads shown here on threads you participate in.

Don't have a website?
Start a Wordpress Blog in 5 seconds (well, try to find a Wordpress Theme* that's adsense ready so all you'll need to do is plop in the numbers from Google). Then write a couple pages in your brand new blog and then head over to the Google Adsense Signup page and signup. Google will need to review your site and that will take a few days. So while waiting, blog away and make more content so you're blog is more likely to be accepted. Add your blog to your signature here so you get some links to your new blog. And don't forget to plug your Adsense codes into your blog!

Getting your adsense codes into the forum
To start with, you'll need to send me a PM with your Google google_ad_client and google_ad_channel

Once this has been running for a bit and is smoothly operating, I'll allow for everyone to add their own adsense codes on the User Control Panel.

Optimally, you should use an unique ad_channel so you can see the revenue generated here.

How much will I earn
Will you get rich? No, but you will earn something. The more content here, the more likely someone will visit and the more likely you'll receive revenue.

Any Catches?
You must have at least 50 posts in the forum for your Adsense Client Ids to show up. Offer can end at any time at our discretion.

FAQ
I put together a short Revenue Sharing FAQ to answer the basic questions. If you have any more, ask in this thread and we can expand the FAQ.

There is one reason why I am not interested in this, and that is basically that we cannot control content here. If some posts breaks an Adsense TOS, they could close Adsense accounts. I am always weary about putting my account id in places where I do not control the content..

We keep our eyes open. As you know, we don't allow urls to be posted until you reach a certain level. There are automatic controls on the bad things you are probably worrying about. My post on the Farmed Salmon went to the moderation queue because of the number of links in it and I'm the adminstrator. Bad words are blocked including spam words that are hot right now related to products for mp3 players etc.

Your concern is noted but I think we watch and control things pretty well. Have you seen anything concerning in your few week visiting here?

The idea behind this is to reward folks for contributing to the forum. We're sincere and honest and we wouldn't want anything here that isn't proper. We irritate people sometimes because of that policy, we're mindful that there are a lot of folks out to promote bad things and limit promotion of anything until you're vetted.

This forum is paid for and hosted by a commercial business that wouldn't want it's reputation tarnished.

Oh, don't get me wrong, everything I have seen here is more than on the up and up. I hope you didn't take my post the wrong way.

There is just inherent dangers about putting your adsense code in places that you do not control. Yourself could also be at risk allowing others adsense here too. If a user gets banned from adsense for say, fraudulant clicks, it generally reflects bad on any site that they have their code on.

You also have to take into consideration what affect smartpricing will have on your account, and others have to consider it with theirs.

If you visit the adsense forum over at webmaster world, you will get an idea of what I mean.

Your response was fine.

Since this is new, you have to PM with the adsense codes and we will log everything by hand in case any one has a question. If there is no interest, then the offer will be withdrawn.

We just thought this would be fun for folks and give them an extra incentive to participate.
