Farmers Almanac predicts a bad winter for this year.
Around here you can see tons of wooly worms that are all black. There is an old wives tale about black wooly worms meaning a bad winter lol. I remember an old one about fog in August means snow in the winter. It has gotten cooler weeks earlier this year than it has in years.

I've ard the same about the wooly worms - and I know we are in for it this year. And I live in the snow belt - oh well - won't be the first time my house was either encased in ice or totally buried in snow.

I gathered another load of basil and parsley at the garden today to dry. I expect to have frost about anytime at this rate. Everyone I know who has their own place are winterizing their homes right now.
