I'm pretty much in the same boat. I do at least have a lot of friends who like my cooking and they are always happy to bring a bottle of wine to dinner but as far as friends who like to cook they are few and far between. I've been told no one wants to cook for me because they think I will be judging them but I really don't think I'm that hard to please. Sure I love complex dishes and I will make them myself but I also like cheese on crackers. For me the key to loving what I'm eating is to keep it real. No frozen or canned stuff please. It can be as simple as a roast chicken breast with seasonal veggies and a baked potato. I would be happy with that but if the recipe says take 3 boxes of this 2 cans of that and fry in bacon fat from your maxwell house can until done then I'd rather just eat my cheese on crackers but thanks.

Can you imagine the potluck dinners we could have if we lived close together? THAT would be some fantastic food!

Yeah and we would have to get into a real good "power walking" routine each evening too!!!;) And that would be so much fun too:)
Our husbands would just have to become "Buds" cause they really would have no choice:D There really would be no end to the madness once you got us started:eek:

Yes... I have often fantasized about all the Tums I'd have to take after a tremendous belly-buster spread w/ contributions from all of us! YUM!
