Most of you know my dislike of going out to restaurants and honestly the wife and I lead a boring life as far as going out is concerned. Well this weekend has been like opposite day only all weekend long.

Friday evening : My oldest son takes me out to a brewery / restaurant. Had one glass of wine and a lot of iced tea along with some bar fare called sliders. Mini hamburgers with guacamole sauce, sauteed onions, and bacon. They were really good. Met a lot of old clients there at the pub and had a great time.

Saturday evening: A client invited our whole family out to a local Italian restaurant for pizza. The food was about what I expected, nothing spectacular. But we had a great time being the guests for dinner.

Sunday afternoon: Our family went to a Chinese buffet here in town. Invited some friends from church and ate way too much as I usually do at this place. Chinese is one restaurant I enjoy paying for. And this place was no exception. Probably had enough MSG to kill a horse but it sure did taste good.

Whenever I get my appetite back, I'm looking forward to a home cooked meal again :)

Your poor stomach! I'm one who eats 99.99% of my meals at home. I make my own sliders - love those little things! I make all sorts of them and I've got many hooked on them.

Pizza - well there is one place here that I do enjoy their pizza. and we have hundreds of them around us! But I still prefer homemade.

Chinese?? Only if I make it my way - if not - I get huge hives that look like welts all over my face and body - I look like a monster and I stay that way for 2 weeks - minimum.

I bet you're wishing for some good old fashioned BBQ!

Before I was put on this low sodium diet my favorite place to eat was Chinese. We had two buffets, Changs and Lucky Village, plus one "to order" which was Chef Wok. All three places knew me by name. Haven't been to either one in three years now. :( Might have to try making some Moo Goo Ghi Pan or something for old times sake.

I love this one chinese place a few counties over from us. They have wonderful sushi. An hour after I have eaten there I drink tons of water. I guess the sodium in dishes make me thirsty. Does the same thing to my husband. The chinese restaurant here in this town is terrible. The food is tasteless and lots of it is warmed over from the day before. They even put pickles and cream cheese in some of their sushi which is disgusting.

I get those same hives Mama if I eat any kind of white fish.
