Has anyone ever done the home delivery groceries? I'll be trying it around the Holidays, fyi Safeway/Vons stores offer free delivery with your first order :). If you've tried it how was it?

I did it for many years until the company went bust. Quality and prices were superb and I got free delivery if order was over $50-$75 or something, which I always did. I really miss it. I think Albertson's is the only store in my area that offers it but I've never shopped with them since no store is nearby.

I haven't, but my sister, down in Florida, swears by it.

Many years ago, when there were wolves in Wales and snakes in Ireland, we belonged to one of those freezer plans. That worked out well, as we got a free freezer out of the deal, and the food was high quality. In fact, a diversity of meats, fowl, and frozen foods cost us less than the hamburger and chicken we were living on at the time. A good deal, for sure.

Ironically, that freezer lasted 19 years and through three moves. Been though three freezers since.

It's trite but true.....they don't make 'em like they used to.

We only have two smaller grocery stores in this town and neither deliver.
