Poor ole' Silkies :( they are beautiful birds with their thick plummage! I never know their meat, skin, etc was dark. How interesting. But I think I will pass not into the gamey taste:o

I've never had the opportunity for that one but I'd try it in a heart beat. I was thinking about this the other day. Because everyone is trying to save money I thing there is a return to more readily available foods. There don't seem to be as many exotic ingredients coming out lately.

My brother in laws kids have some silkie chickens they keep for pets.
Once when we went to the zoo that had a silkie at a booth and Jon got to feel their feathers.
