I have a few ~ but from my father: I wish I could make my gravy as well as my father could, and his meatloaf~ oh, it was to die for, and potato latke's which were the absolute best and of course his excellent PEA SOUP.

You are lucky my father also can't cook. One time he tried to "help" me make the mashed potatoes for Thanksgiving. He had the idea to put soy sauce in the mashed potatoes. It was not one of those things like chocolate chip cookies that becomes a sensation. I wouldn't suggest trying it.

Hahahaha, you got me to thinking of something funny~ my sister, when she was newly married, decided to make peanut butter cookies for her new husband, the recipe she was using called for cream of tartar, not a good cook (still so-so) she didn't have cream of tartar so she thought it was okay to substitute tartar sauce (put on fish) HAHAHAHAH she still says that her husband to this day does not eat peanut butter cookies ~ That is just to funny for me. By the way, her husband still does most of the cooking, he says he doesn't trust her to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, she may substitute the jelly with mustard or something hahahah he cracks me up when he talks about my sister's cooking abilities.
