I agree with you all. I have received my neigbors mail on quite a few occasions. Plus sometimes some of my mail has been opened, or torn, etc. And I am waiting for something now that was mailed "priority" that has not shown up yet. They need to get it together

I try to boycott the USPS when ever I can. When I have a choice I use UPS instead.

Goodness----we've been lucky, I guess----we've had the same delivery guy, Harvey, in an irridescent green pickup truck for the past 15 years
and yeah, ever once in awhile we'll get mail from another street but in my neighborhood every street has the same range of house numbers (for example #3018 will be found on 10 different streets)---guess the builders bought numbers in bulk. ha! The few times that I've gotten someone else's mail I on one of my errands just drop it by the right mailbox---not a big deal. My biggest problem these days is with the mailbox itself. It's encased in brick and it's rusting from the inside out----I'm not sure how to resolve this problem---also living in Texas I've had to deal with fireants who seem to think that my mailbox is a local hangout

Wow, I didn't know that you guys in the U.S. have problems with your postal service too. But I think we have one of the worse postal service ever. My husband sent me a package for my birthday through USPS as global priority last July 31, it was supposed to arrive in 4-7 days time, but up to now, I haven't received anything, even just a card to tell me that my package is already at the post office ready for pick up.

You guys are lucky to at least still receive your package and mails. Most of the time here, especially if the mails came from abroad, people received the mails already opened or steamed open then resealed. From mails to jewelry, these things get lost in the mail. So the best way is to send them via Fedex rather than the regular postage.

I should mention Ladies, that it was Canada Post, not the USPS I was referring to. I thought we were notorious for the absolute worst postal service. Slow, inept workers. Lately, I have read about many instances in which the police were called to the homes of postal delivery workers to find massive amounts of undelivered mail in their residences. They do not deserve to be gainfully employed.

Courier services are so much more expensive but given the choice I specify those as my preference. At least I know I'll receive the item, usually intact, too. ::sigh::.
